Race 1
#1 Oriental Amigo has been looking for the drop in to class 5 and now he's here a result can quickly follow.
Vincent Ho must have been watching the replays closely and has now made the call to Me Tsui in pursuit of the ride.
He'll be searching for cover through the first half before building to the line and the easier opposition gives him the ability to run over the top.
I'm hoping for a nice each way price so we can go in for a reasonable result at little expense, if he goes under.
#10 Golden Mission is a solid chance in this extremely open
class 5 to kick off the program.
The outside draw combined with the fact he's never won a race don't reflect a winner's profile but they don't chase to hard in this grade and I reckon he can find the spot outside the lead.
A number of his efforts at Shatin have been competitive on pace and he should run well.
With the rail in the A position the distance from the gates to the first bend is lengthy which can assist him in crossing the field.
#2 Sunny and Gold is drawn deep and awkward but his first up run was good.
It's the inform class 5 team of Purton and Yip and there strike rate in these types of events is as good as you'll find.
He's got natural gate speed and from the draw can push on and potentially lead.
I see both he and "Golden Mission" hunting forward and if the pair can cross they'll be in the race for a long way.
#4 Viva Chef found bother
mid-race first up and should be given an exemption on that average performance.
Alexis Badel knows him well and from barrier 2 they can push up early before taking the box seat.
Like the majority in this class he won't find a great deal when pushing for the line but on the flip side he'll do no work during the run.
#8 E Honey doesn't have a great deal to brag about with his rating now at 28.
In review of his runs this term excuses were valid for his finishing position on both occasions but it's also becoming a regular report card.
A recent trial win at Conghua is something to ponder as he went well and could be worth including as a ruff hope.

Race 4
#12 Spicy Grill ripped out a set of superb sectionals first up in victory with barrier 1 vital in the result.
When up in grade at his latest run he was dragged back from barrier 10 and then impeded when building down the stretch.
Vincent Ho jumps back aboard for another crack in the grade and they've again drawn pole position.
It took a while for this fellow to figure things out but the ability is there to go higher in the grade.
#9 Yee Chong Warrior performed extremely well first up from a 10 month break.
He was sent to Conghua for
a 5 month period mid-year where he continued working but didn't race.
The time off looks to have been a blessing and I'm expecting a decent campaign this time around.
Mathew Poon has been a regular contributor with his morning work regime and his dedication is a strong guide.
#5 Inno Legend pulled up lame at the end of last term and tonight arrives at the races for his seasonal debut.
A solid foundation of work has been witnessed with the barrier draw perfect for the return.
Joao Moreira is back after a
2 meeting suspension and won a trial aboard him at Shatin in late September.
He appeared quite progressive at one point but we'll wait and see if he can go on with the job.
#6 Star Of Wuyi is first up since May and debuts for the new stable of Me Tsui.
The majority of his preparation has been completed at Conghua with the best of his trials being the first recorded in June.
I rate him the most interesting runner in the race and if he's sent out at a nice price I'll be having a play win/place.
#11 Amazement has done little so far from a half dozen starts but im anticipating that to change at some stage.
The owner hasn't had a slow horse ever and would've paid decent coin for this recruit.
It's only a matter of time before we see improvement and I'd include him in what ever you do.
