Red Ocean To Bring Up The Hat-Trick

The Shane Baertschiger trained Red Ocean chases the hat-trick at Kranji on Sunday and while giving weight away he appears well placed.

Set to contest seventh event Red Ocean was a narrow maiden winner two back before taking a good step forward last start when leading throughout to score easily over 1400m.

Ridden by Danny Beasley he never gave his rivals his chance when running time from the front to score by three lengths.

His second win from five starts, Red Ocean has clearly appreciated being ridden to lead and don't expect any different on Sunday.

Beasley is striking at 15 per cent when combined with the Baertschiger stable and is riding in great form of late.

From the middle draw he looks to lead comfortably aboard Red Ocean and is sure to give them all something to run down.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings Red Ocean rates clear off his last start win and with further improvement anticipated he is clearly the one to beat.

The Mark Walker trained Inherit hasn't been far off the mark in recent outings and looks to get his chance down in the weights.

The wide draw sees him get back in the field but he appears capable of working home into the finish.

The Desmond Koh trained Solo Sun simply gave them too much start but still closed off well and may be able to settle closer from the inside draw.

A winner of four of his 39 starts he has placed on a further nine occasions and seems to perform at his best at this course and distance.

Finds himself in a fairly weak contest and with even luck he shouldn't be far off.

Of the rest the Steven Burridge trained Adipson appears the next in line.

Good luck and happy punting.
